This four part / five DJ series takes us into the wide world of the Caribbean.

Chris Veltri / “Cool Chris” of Groove Merchant Records SF starts set 1 with a spectacular mix of soul-jazz and instrumentals as they originated from the islands and the mainland afterwards.

“Cool Chris”, as he is known in San Fransisco, is at this point an icon. Since 1997 owner of Groove Merchant Records, Chris is recognized as one of the worlds great collectors, dealers and specialists of rare groove, jazz, soul vinyl and ephemera. Chris DJ’s around the SF and LA areas on a regular basis, spinning from the depths of his collection.
