Formed by members of the Los Angeles chapter, shesaidso Radio LA aims to motivate, connect, and showcase the work of inspiring women worldwide. The monthly show features interviews and themed discussions exploring industry news, trends and women’s ever evolving forms of influence within the music ecosystem. Our conversations include the artist/manager relationship, interviews with top talent, tips on how to break into the music industry, and more. The second half of the show includes an exclusive mix or live performance from some of shesaidso LA’s favorite artists. Join host Elyn Kazarian to get inspired by personal stories and tunes from women reshaping the music industry.
Gemma Lacey is a UK-born writer and journalist currently based in LA. She has written for print and online publications since 2003 and specializes in one-on-one artist profiles. Her focus is always to celebrate the sense of wonder and connections that arts and culture provide us all and showcase it to a broader audience. Since 2013 she’s been an editor and contributor at PUSS PUSS Magazine and is currently executive editor at MARVIN Magazine, founded by Marvin Jarrettt founder of Nylon and Raygun magazines. Some of her favourite interviews to date include Cat Power, Eartheater, and Thundercat. She’s also working on a book,” “Everything I’ve Learned Talking to Artists for Over 20 Years” and is currently working on a publishing deal.
