Sam Sala is an Italian producer, composer and percussionist, hailing from a small town on the shores of Lake Como, which has been deeply inspirational to his music. His work is influenced by lo-fi drones, field recordings, and modulated percussive objects, resulting in compositions marked by obsessive rhythms and rich ambient layers. Sam delves into the textures of the natural world, capturing sounds and visuals to build immersive sonic collages composed of foggy, eerie, and hypnotic textures intertwining with ethereal, dreamlike, and hopeful elements. Now based in Brussels, he continues to push the boundaries of his artistic practice, creating original a/v experiences that echo the complexity and nuance of his environment. Over the years, he has collaborated with a range of artists and bands, developing a strong presence in live performance.
