Pollensource is a Los Angeles based dj & producer, originally from the east coast. He specializes in down tempo, and left-field variations of dance music. He hosts an LA based dance focused party called Wellness Check, and a radio program called The New Alphabet on orangeradio.us.
“for this guest mix, i wanted to focus on the brooding softness that comes in the early morning hours on a dance floor. the majority of what i love to listen to, is this sort of context dependent down tempo, filled with monologue and audio sampling, big sweeping synth pads, filtered bass, and just overall melancholic cool down tracks. with the selection on this mix, i hope to convey a hazy pleasantness, centralized around the feeling of a few tears rolling down the cheek of the dancers during a closing set, somewhere fantastic and intimate.” – Pollensource
