Rare Air: the Hugh Masekela Episode
01.14.24

Rare Air is a product of its time and space, not adhering to any specific genre but rather whatever the wind blows into DJ Lady C’s consciousness. The program, whose tracklists are largely populated by extra-crispy vinyl records, is a mixed bag made possible by the human experience of living in 21st century LA county (which is to say, imbued with the noisy passion, succulent secrets, and ever-evolving mythologies of our future-roots lives).
A Show In Honor of Hugh Masekela (April 4, 1939 – January 23*, 2018) and South African Righteousness
*misstated as Jan. 26 on the broadcast and corrected here :)
